STATE CIRCUIT COURT
Elder exploitation and will/trust contest involving undue influence and lack of mental capacity. After being told there was less than $100K at issue, Attorney Tate obtained a Court order to freeze the assets, and then his forensic investigation resulted in the recovery of over $1 million for his clients
STATE CIRCUIT COURT
​Elder exploitation and will/trust contest involving undue influence and lack of mental capacity in which the elder’s assets were being rapidly depleted. Attorney Tate substituted in and obtained a Court order to freeze the assets pending a forensic investigation.
STATE CIRCUIT COURT
Elder exploitation and will/trust contest involving undue influence by an individual claiming to be a family member who presented an improperly procured will to probate. Attorney Tate got the decedent’s original will admitted to probate, the correct family member designated as the executor, and more than $1 million recovered for the family.
US DISTRICT COURT
​Will/Trust contest resulting in two (2) interpleader actions related to change of beneficiary forms. Attorney Tate filed multiple counterclaims, which resulted in the majority of the decedent’s estate being distributed to decedent’s chosen charities.
STATE CIRCUIT COURT
Contract dispute involving a charitable gift agreement. Attorney Tate substituted in after two (2) years of litigation and represented the charity pro bono. After two (2) more years of litigation, Attorney Tate prevailed on summary judgment with the charity being spared a judgment of more than $1 million.
STATE CIRCUIT COURT
Wrongful death matter of a hit-and-run tractor trailer truck versus an automobile. Attorney Tate and Attorney Collins recovered $1.5 million for the family.
